GLBT Equality: Perseverance and Progress

Come join Diane Houston and a member of HRC's Field Staff for an hour long worshop entitled: "GLBT Equality: Perserverance and Progress - Join us for a closer look at the progress we've made this year and the struggles we still face on both the national and state level. Come hear about the current battle to put a discriminatory anti gay marriage measure on the November ballot here in California, hate crimes and employment legislation, gay issues in Presidential politics and more."

Social Justice Summit - bringing together more than 500 individuals from around Los Angeles, Riverside,San Diego, and Orange County. At our event attendees learn about numerous social justice issues including, but not limited to human rights, environmental concerns and global inequality and oppression.

The Social Justice Summit is not limited to students; rather it is open to community members of all ages. The goals of the Summit is to provide a forum for people to exchange ideas about improving the state of our communities, providing tools and grass-roots solutions, and creating a space to dialogue about the obstacles faced in constructing lasting change. The theme of this year's Summit is Stand. Speak. Act!
